Original Designed Hand Knit Garments:

Picture
Bulky cables ripple across the sweater from hand to hand. This sweater was knit from one sleeve to the other sleeve, sideways.
Because the wool itself is very fluffy, the sweater is not very heavy eventhough the appearance and warmth of the sweater seems
heavy.
100% wool. Hand knit.

Hand knit from hand spun local wool

Picture
This sweater was designed from the very start.  After choosing the best parts of one of Windrush Farm's corriedale/finn cross breed sheep, I spun 50% of the wool in uneven thick slubs and plied it back with a silk white thread.  The other 50% I spun  into a fine single wool. The garment design is a wide rectangle with sleeves that drapes over the shoulders for a casual look. The texture is desived from using the bulky slubby wool in a grid pattern with the fine wool.

100% hand spun wool.  Hand knit.

Hand dyed, hand knit

Picture
One sample of a hand knnit sweater from hand dyed yarn. I hand painted hald of the amount I thought I needed for the sweater and kettle dyed the other half so the semi solid color reflected some of the same colors as the hand dyed part.
It is knit in a chevron pattern to bring out both colors.
